Automatic Color Detection is applied with the three “Color or Black & White”

profiles. VRS automatically detects whether the document is color or black & white,

and scans accordingly.

In addition to the settings outlined in the preceding table, the following settings are

active with the standard profiles:

 Paper size is maximum

 Duplex

 Portrait page orientation

 Automatic Document Feeder (ADF)

 Background Smoothing (for profiles that support color)

 Auto Brightness

 Ignore Holes

 Edge Cleanup

 Auto Deskew

 Auto Crop

 Auto Orientation

 Advanced Clarity

 Blank Page Deletion

Creating a VRS Desktop Productivity Profile

From the VRS Professional Scan window, you can create a Desktop Productivity scan

profile. As soon as you create and save the profile, it becomes the active profile.

X To create a profile

1 Open the VRS Professional Scan window and select a profile on which the

new profile will be based.

2 Click next to Scanner Settings to expand and view the list of available

settings.

Normal quality - Color or Black & White Auto detect 200 PDF

High quality - Black & White only Black & white 300 PDF

High quality - Color or Black & White Auto detect 300 PDF
