• Both the above properties are available for the Script Formatter. If the Boolean

value of the field’s DoubleFormatted property is True, then the DoubleValue

and/or DateValue properties can be used in scripts for calculations. This

allows the user to work with field values without being concerned about

reformatting the field text.

Each formatter type has its own set of properties.

Field formatting methods are defined on the Project Settings – Formatting tab and

assigned to a field or table cell using a properties dialog box. When you open the

properties dialog box for a field to assign a field formatter, you can select an existing

field formatter method from the drop-down list of available field formatters or you

can create a new format by clicking Define. This button then opens the Project

Settings dialog box

and shows the Formatting tab.

X To define a new field formatting method

1 Select Project | Project Settings from the main menu.

2 Select the Formatting tab.

3 This property page is also available by clicking Define from the Field

Properties dialog box.

4 Click Add to create a new field formatter using the New field formatter dialog

box.
